Future Training Protocol hosts annual competitions during the summer to test student’s aptitude for coding a video game of their own design. Entry into each competition is free of charge, although for those who aren’t as confident in their visual arts abilities, weekly paid workshops will be hosted in our classrooms throughout the summer. These workshops will be hosted by art professors and will be designed to instruct game designers in the fundamentals of asset creation to compliment the coding techniques they have acquired in their previous experiences. Projects can be completed in teams or individually. Projects completed in the after school programs can also be used as long as they were completed during the school year prior to the summer.
Games will be judged on the following criteria:
- Unique and Original Game Mechanics
- Functionality of Code
- Appealing Visual Style
